What is this service about?
Senifone.nl is the online shop of Senifone. In this online shop, consumers can find information about the Senifone S1 smartphone for seniors, accessories and additional services. Visitors can view products, choose options, add a product to the basket, complete an order and contact our customer service.
The Senifone S1 is designed to make using a smartphone easier. The product information on the website describes, among other things, large buttons, clear text, shortcuts, video calling, an SOS function and remote support.
How does the online shop work?
Visitors can find information about Senifone via the menu, the product pages and the customer service page. On a product page, a visitor can view the product, choose any options or accessories and add the product to the basket. The order can then be completed at checkout. The available payment and delivery options are shown during the ordering process.
After placing an order, the customer receives information about the order by email. Questions can be put to customer service by telephone, email or chat. The website also has a page with frequently asked questions and support.
How do we make the online shop accessible?
We want Senifone.nl to be usable by as many people as possible, including people with a visual, hearing, motor or cognitive impairment. To this end, we use the accessibility principles of WCAG and EN 301 549 as a guideline: perceivable, operable, understandable and robust.
The website takes into account, among other things:
- clear page titles, headings and text structure;
- the language set in the HTML, so that assistive software can interpret the page correctly;
- logically structured navigation;
- a skip link that lets keyboard users go straight to the main content;
- text alternatives for important images;
- labels and accessible names for forms, buttons and search fields;
- frequently asked questions that can be opened and closed with buttons;
- a responsive design for desktop, tablet and mobile;
- support via several contact channels: telephone, email and chat.
Elements such as payment, checkout, cookie settings, chat and other external services may be partly provided by third parties. We also try to keep these elements accessible and take reports of accessibility problems into account in our improvements.
What can still be improved?
We continue to improve the accessibility of Senifone.nl. Checks show that some colour combinations, buttons, badges or accent texts could still be given better contrast. We also continue to check third-party elements, such as the payment steps, cookie settings and chat functionality.
If you come across an element that does not work properly with a screen reader, keyboard, magnification, voice control or other assistive software, we would like to hear about it.
How do we keep the online shop accessible?
We pay attention to accessibility when creating new pages, changing the theme and adding new features. We check important parts of the online shop, such as the homepage, product pages, basket, checkout, customer service and frequently asked questions. Where necessary, we make improvements.
We keep this statement up to date whenever there are significant changes to the online shop or when we implement new accessibility improvements.
